HISTORY OF THIS PLAY
This play was written by a group of students in the fourth grade of Primary Education. It is a Christmas Pantomime to be represented at the Christmas School Festival. It encourages the importance of responsibility and cooperation.
SYPNOSIS
That is a difficult Christmas for Santa. Difficulties start when he cannot find the Star that guides him to hand out the Christmas Presents. His wife, the elves and the reindeer help him to find it but, the Star does not want to work. Finally, they convince her to go but the problems do not finish. Santa gets stuck in the Chimney! In the end they success with the help and cooperation of all the characters.
CHARACTER OBJECTIVES
Santa: He wants to hand out the Christmas Presents on time.
Santa´s wife: She helps Santa finding the star and handing out the presents.
Elves: They want to help Santa finding the star and riding the sledge.
Reindeer: They help Santa finding the star and riding the sledge.
Children: They receive presents and help Santa going out from the Chimney.
Star: She must guide Santa but, she does not want to work.
SCENE BREAKDOWN
Scene 1: Snow landscape. Santa is at a corner looking through a Telescope looking for the Star. The Elves, the reindeer and his wife appear to help him. Rudolph finds the Star
Scene 2: Snow landscape and the Star sleeping. They all go to talk with the Star. The Star explain that she is very tired and not ready to work. The Elves decided to pour some fresh water on her. The Star decides to go with them.
Scene 3: Same landscape in which they are putting the presents in Santa´s sledge. All they go.
Scene 4: They arrive at a house. Santa goes down the chimney, but he gets stuck. Some children appear. They help Santa by throwing some pepper powder. Santa sneeze and he goes out. The reindeer, Santa´s wife and the Elves are waiting outside.
Scene 5: All the characters sing the Christmas Carrol “When Santa Got Stuck At The Chimney”. They all go on the sledge.
